Providence Cyberspace: Sustainability Garment was created to show an intersection between digital life and real life. Its silhouette was fashioned to mimic videogame character designs, with color inspiration coming from the sunsets and street murals of Providence, Rhode Island. A challenge of this garment was to use completely sustainable material, and to do so the designer used her own deconstructed communion dress and leftover denim. The garment is also transformative, much like videogame armor or skins, able to add, take away, or play with embellishments as the wearer pleases.
